Leonard Bernstein’s Harvard Lecture Series, “The Unanswered Question” (1973)
Moneyball
Just watched Moneyball.
Reminds me of how sports work. You’re not cheering for just the wins, but ideals, heroes and legends. The reminder of what can be done within a team. The stories that each game tells us about ourselves and going out there game after game for those magic moments. That the best moments can’t be bought and the best ideas and directions are sometimes are seen as just a bit crazy.
As the Billy Beane says in the movie, “It’s hard not to be romantic about baseball.”

Vancouver Aquarium
Hey everyone,
Yesterday I went to the vancouver aquarium! The aquarium was actually much cooler than I thought it’d be. The exhibits were few in number but high in quality. The tropical exhibit for example, yielded some great finds, including the huge Arapaima fish like creature, and Tambaqui. the were also some red lion fish and local sea creatures from local islands all around Vancouver. I’ll post some pictures soon, to give a feel of the aquarium, as soon as I’m off the road and on a real laptop!
Take care for now,
alex.
A Blog Entry on Not Writing a Blog (and why you should start one if you have a creative side).
It’s been awhile since I’ve sat down and tried to write a blog post. When you blog regularly, it feels like a 24 hour job. You constantly think about creating content. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made a post based chicken scratch from a dream that I wrote down, or just keeping a blog at the forefront of my mind during a regular day. I was recently told we have about 60,000 thoughts A DAY! Never mind that 80% of these are usually negative, but with that many things running through our minds, I’m sure a couple would be worth blogging about. The same thing happens for music, or any other creative endeavour, where something has to come from nothing.
A lot of my fellow peers are looking for jobs right now. If you’re planning on doing anything creative - market, music, art…heck, even creating financial securities requires some right brain power - I’d suggest keeping a blog, or at least some writing hidden somewhere. Many big ideas are hidden in your everyday thoughts. It can’t hurt to write some of them down!
More next time, and hopefully as my posts progress, they lead to better and bolder insights.

15in15. EDIT: 15 BEFORE BREAK IS OVER…
I’ll be writing 15 posts for the next 15 days. I need to get my creative juices flowing! I can’t guarantee they’ll all be a winner, but bear with me! I’m hoping this compounds with my songwriting! Let’s go on a small journey together. See you with my first post later in the evening.

27.11.11: Short Update
I’ve been busy with school, but l will soon have a month off to write and perform!
Right now I’m writing some jingles for my brother’s camera company. If they’re good, you’ll be hearing them on Youtube! We’ll see what happens! Hope to update with new shows and music soon.
